My Crazy Life
I am happy to announce that a series of short nonfiction stories of mine have been published and limited copies are now available on Amazon and Barnes_&_Noble and on the Publisher's_Website
You can find the book by either searching on my name or typing in the title 'My Crazy Life'. But I set the links to go right to the book...
Official release date is December 27th 2008. I am hoping to have a few book signings in the Pittsburgh area shortly after the 27th release. Once I have those set up I will provide the information for those of you interested.
Thank you for all of your support!

Passionately Pink ...
During the month of October I will be going Passionately Pink for the Cure® to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer.
It's passionate, because the need to end breast cancer is so urgent. It's pink, because that's the color we'll wear to accomplish our goal.
Participating is simple. Just wear pink (any item of clothing will do) on 10/27/08 and make a donation of $5 or more to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, the leader of the global breast cancer movement. If you'd like to contribute online, please use the link below. In return for your contribution, you'll get a pink ribbon pin and the satisfaction of helping to move us closer to a world free of breast cancer.
Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to be involved in planning our event. Thanks in advance for your help and for showing your true colors by going Passionately Pink for the Cure on 10/27/08.

A Bunch of Randomness
The weather is getting perfect for Football season unlike two weekends ago at the Pitt home opener was not only a loss but I was literally burning up in the stands. My poor forehead was bright red the next day and I had a funky tan line err burn line from my sunglasses.
This past weekend however, it was cooler out (night game) and Pitt WON!!! yeah... take that Buffalo... ha The field proved equally as lucky for the Steelers who crushed the Texans... I must say after pre-season I was a bit worried about what the black and gold could/would do this season... Just got to take it one game at a time, and if they take them at all like the home opener I will be a happy Steeler fan all season long.
Sadly, the Pirates have now tied for worst losing team ever... making this year their 16th straight losing season. No team since the 1930's has lost that many seasons consecutively. I heard though this morning on the radio that there are changes being made from the ground up and maybe just maybe the team will be a lot better next season.

Something that has been bothering me... the Port_Authority ... yes public transportation.... I cannot understand one, why they won't reply back to my suggestion of getting a bus that goes from where I live to where I work on their park and ride schedule. It actually makes a lot of sense - and there are several people that live and work in these two specific areas. And since parking is at a minimum and gas is at $3.60+ a gallon (well it dropped a smidge) why not make it easy on people. To take a bus to work, I would have to take a minimum of two buses, possibly three depending on which park and ride I would go to. That would take an extra hour and half in the morning and evening for me to get home.
Another person I emailed and got no response from about not only the bus situation but the drink tax business was Dan Onorato. I don't understand how all the sudden property taxes were brought into it and if enough money was made to bail the buses out in the first quarter then why not do some research and figure out how to improve the entire system... sort of like the Pirates are doing... from the ground up. Find out what routes are working and which are not...
And for heavens sakes... how about lowering the tax a bit... where is all this money going... Politicians pockets???? Because I sure as hell am not seeing it in mine... But never fear, I will remember how my email was not answered at voting time... Perhaps it is time for a change in this city...
I have watched the View off and on for many many years. Mostly when I am on vacation or just have the day off from work... I have enjoyed the show for the most part. I do however miss the original cast of hosts being together... And I cannot stand Hasslebeck at all. I think I may have stated it before once or twice... but apparently she has made some more waves, with not just me this time, here_is the clip. Now, I personally feel that she didn't have decency when making her comments, why should the view be curious when talking to her about it... do it on the air... so all can see.

Having friends in the military this article was a bit sad... that the suicide rate is that high... a quote out of that article "The rise can be attributed to the increased pace of combat operations, the number of deployments and financial and family troubles connected with deployments, Army officials said." So basically not only do we have to fear losing our soldiers in combat, but that if they are lucky enough to survive deployment that they might end up committing suicide due to said deployment. How sad...
Speaking of sad, tomorrow marks the anniversary of September 11th. A day that I still remember as if it were yesterday... where I was, what I was doing, what I was wearing...

Wanting to end on a more uplifting positive note... I thought a little music might help out... this is the song on the radio right now... enjoy...

Customer Service... Where the hell did you go?
Something lately has had me a little disgusted... I think it started back when my mom and I went to a beauty_supply store and the woman/employee behind the counter was talking about disgusting topics that she should not be talking about when she has paying customers standing there waiting to be rung up (ie my mom and me).
Then this past week my sister's car breaks down and they took it to Bowser where she purchased said car. Now, despite the fact that they totally ripped my sister off, in my opinion, and everyone pretty much called the repair shop and yelled (or conversated loudly) at the repair shop these people are just complete assholes. They are doing a disservice to the dealer to be honest with you. Basically my sister was charged a good say 400$ for the repairs done, when this was brought to their attention they said they would look into it and 'possibly refund her a portion of the money.' What a joke, they aren't refunding anything.
I honestly think that someone should look into the practices of the repair shop and instead of pumping cars in and out as quickly as possible... spend a little time and figure out what is wrong with them - before sending them back out on the road... do you know what an inconvenience that is? (That didn't happen to Nat, but to others). I mean hell, your getting paid what 90$ an hour for your fee...
Oh well, bottom line, between two families SIX cars have been purchased at the dealer - so let's say each car averaged around 15K - that's approximately 90,000$ this dealer made off of these families... It would be a shame if these people started looking elsewhere for their next car... because of the repair shops attitudes.
When did people stop caring about their quality of work? Although I am not sure that the said dealership had any to begin with... I will tell you a great little story about how this specific dealership repair shop ruined a 700$ part and until they actually sent it out to be confirmed that they had indeed ruined the part they were going to make the owner of the car pay for it... well until I stepped in and told them that they were bleeping incompetent and shouldn't be allowed to work on cars if they can't figure out when you are supposed to stop tightening a bolt.
Why is it that the customer service aspect of what seems to be everything has faded away... that no one cares and it is only about the almighty dollar?
